Good aquarium Companies?

I'm curious on who makes good custom glass aquariums & who makes good custom acrylic aquariums.
I live in thousand Oaks California and would like to find a close connection.

I have a client right now that wants a 11ft long by 4ft wide 4ft h.

Lee-Mar is in Socal. They build awesome tanks, one of the top builders IMO. Quality of my 225 is stellar.

I have a glasscages rimless cube. Besides having to remove some excess silicone from the outside, that tank is well built. It has extra bracing on the bottom of the tank. You do have to drive to san bernardino to pick up the tank, but thats nothing in my opinion. The customer service I got when they were building the tank was great. I will buy from them again when I upgrade in a few years.

^ Agreed I had a great experience when I dealt with glass cages. The tank I had them build was great quality and service was dead on with no issues. Others report a lot of problems with them however just to note. Oh and ask for black silicone only! They do a good job with the black silicon as you pad a tad extra for it. They are pretty sloppy if you choose clear silicone.

Also to note, while glass cages is cheap, they do NOT do machine edges on the glass. While it is straight and a smooth cut, a machined edges is the only way I would go on a high end expensive tank.

Here is the glass cages rimless I had built when it was first setup for my frag grow out tank. had a starphire front panel.

And here is the lee-mar eurobraced tank I had built just after it arrived. Black epoxy back, cutouts for cables, starphire glass on 3 sides. Tank is stunning an worth every penny. This tank is 72wide x24tall x30deep. A lot bigger than it looks in photos One of the coolest features on the eurobrace that most do not know about or never thought about, lee-mar angles the front brace glass down a few degrees so while you are working in the tank and set stuff on the eurobrace, the water runs back into the tank. Thought it was a pointless feature when I ordered but it has really come in handy keeping the front glass water streak free while I work in the tank!

I've had my visio tank for quite a while. I'm very happy with it. 48x24x20 100g euro braced, diamond edges, black silicone, corner overflow. I'd recommend them

Planet Aquariums in Dallas Tx. I just picked up 9 tanks from them in January all with PVC bottoms polished, machined and beveled edges. Man they are nice and the best customer service ever. I would never have one built by anyone else.

I just ordered a 48x30x20 lee mar and I couldn't be more exited. They are THE WEST COAST GLASS KINGS, imho.

Btw, ATM in vegas is the west cost acrylic kings quality wise. But dealing with them sucks honestly 4 weeks turned into 3 mos the one time I dealt with them on a custom build. Even a tank someone else dropped over half down to build (50x20x20) 90 gal, I still payed 90% of what the total cost was originally supposed to be. They play hardball when it comes to cash but their tanks are insanely nice.
