I am looking for an inexpensive camera that will take decent pictures up close. I tried google and just read a lot of stuff I do not really understand haha. If anyone know of one please let me know.
I don't know what your definition of cheap is so I went with 200 or less. For this I recommend the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V. There are a lot of camera's in this space that I think would fit your need.
I heard olympus is better and was thinking of getting it, but the xp20 was a good $100 less. I can't remember how much I paid, but for sure no more than $150. (or half the price of the olympus mentioned in previous post)
as a bonus, you can take it with you on your next snorkel trip. it is also now by backup camera for my SLR or when I don't want to lug along a heavy SLR.
I've learned not to make any assumptions about what someone reading this forum knows, so it's best to make sure all the info is out there, even if it seems obvious to you (or me).
