Good deal or no?

So I know someone selling an unused, still in the box 48" 8x54 tek fixture for $200. To me this seems like a good deal but I also know this light was discontinued. Was it discontinued because there was a problem with the fixtures or were there other circumstances?

I think the T-5 fixtures are so cheap because of LED's. I recently purchased a used Tek Elite 6x39w with mounting legs for $100 and it is an awesome fixture that works great! If I remember correctly, Sunlight Supply discontinued their aquatic side to focus on more herbal growing equipment. The only thing is, you will be looking at another $160-$200 for bulbs.

The ballasts go out alot.

I have 6 bulbs that are only 2 weeks old but the ballast thing kinda concerns me.
