Good encrusting corals for vertical rock surfaces?

Hi all,

I need some advice. I have some challenging bare rock surfaces that I'd like to cover. They are vertical, receive little light, and are fairly close to the glass. What would you recommend as a good matting/encrusting coral that won't be too invasive? Might these be good surfaces for GSP? Are there Zoanthids that will enjoy such conditions?

Thanks!

I think GSP and the other encrusting gorgonians require good lighting and flow...... zoas also. what about some mushrooms

Mushrooms might work, as long as I don't have too many of them. I understand they release plenty of allelochemicals, far more than Ricordea. Anyone have any photos of 'shrooms growing on a cliffside they can share?

why not get some dendros and or sun corals
I've considered these, but I can't help but wonder how difficult it would be to feed each polyp individually when they're hanging on the side of a cliff--won't the bits of food simply fall out of their mouths?

I've seen xenia cover vertical walls pretty good. And yellow clove polyps look really nice too, and may end up covering everything.

I have GSP growing on a vertical piece of branch. Are you looking for anything specific as far as aesthetics go? Or just something to cover rock?

can you show a shot of the cliff that you are talking about? also does it receive a decent amount of flow for that matter...
