good idea or bad?

I have a 90g fowlr
my tank will have
1 humu trigger
1 porc puffer (already have it)
1 maroon clown

my idea and what I have been doing is adding damsels to help clean up the food mess that these fish leave.

so far I have added 5 damsels and they seem to feast on all the food that the porc leaves behind.

The damsels can easily outrun the porc, although I am not sure I can say that for the humu, but I will see.

like my idea or not? ( i figured damsels because they are meanand tough)

Additionally, the damsels, while small, are also contributing to your bioload. Sounds like you're defeating the purpose by adding more waste makers to control waste. Do you have a skimmer? Is there live rock in the tank? You may have to manually remove some of the uneaten food (siphon), or simply cut back on the feedings. Aggressive tanks pose different challenges when it comes to keeping them clean. I'd agree that you might have some space issues when the trigger and puffer start packing size on.

i plan to eventually purchase a larger tank when the need arrives.
I don't even feed the damsels as they just eat uneaten food. So far there has only been just enough food to feed the damsels as leftovers from the porc. There is usually about 1-2 small pieces that make it to the sandbed. these pieces are quickly eaten my hermits which so far has been ignored.

my tank has 90lbs LS
50-60lbs LR
and a coralife 125 skimmer

get some monster sized hermits and a choc chip starfish. they will do a much better job of cleaning the tank than the damsels.

saltyESQ, You know what is always the best thing to do, go with the tank size you would be needing for the marine species you will want for many a times the word upgrade becomes lost because things do happen that maybe you not be able to do this in a year time period and it is your fish who will suffer for it.

Something like this happen to too many hobbyists ;)

!!! My 6" porc cleared out my tank cyclers! Except for one that learned to live in a dead coral!!!

I already had the tank, it was my reef, otherwise I would have bought a 150g.
additionally, considering my income just increased substantially :D getting another tank in a year or so will not be that big a deal. Most important, my g/f loves the puffer :D she even picked him out and paid for him- which gives me the 100% clear when that tank gets too small to purchase a larger one.

but thanks for the condescending comment.
