good lfs

the only place i shop is sea in the city. Go see Marcye, she is the greatest. The best customer service and you will end up gaining a new frienship. Marcye is the best.

I finally made it out to SITC today for the first time (hours drive away). I've been wanting to go for a while and finally got to today and the drive was well worth it. Marcye was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was that I had to restrain myself from buying anything else.

Try Ocean Blue, my personal favorite. I mean locally, where else can you get Tunze, Geiseman, custom made stands and canopies, oceanic tanks, AquaMedic, ASM Skimmers, Custom Sumps, the list just goes on and on. Plus, kick butt SPS to boot!!!!

hello everyone i farily new to this hobby and i wanted to know what is a good recommended LFS in orlando fl. thanks

I find Ocean Blue a little on the expensive side for some things but they do have a great selection... You won't regret going to see Marcy at Sea in the City. Richard at Fishy Business also has some good selections.

Greg at The Fish Bowl is a great guy also. Don't know if he's done with all the renovations yet, but really cool store. Ocean Blue is good for large colonies if you have a pocket with money to burn. Anytime I go out to lfs's I always feel the need to go visit Marcye at Sea in the City. I get my special and unique stuff from her, always at a decent price. Better for smaller frags and for hand caught or tank bred fish.

I recently moved to Florida so I'm also following this thread to get a feel for the LFS'. I have only had a chance to visit one store so far but have to say that SITC did live up to all the recommendations that I have been reading. Marcye and Casey were very hospitable and made my wife & I feel as though we've been shopping there for years...excellent experience.

I second...or was that third.. or forth that Sea in the city is the place to go :). Ive been buying SW stuff in Orlando for over 5 years, been to em all, bought from em all and just dicovered Marcye last year. Now I only buy from her and offline. I can't afford to pay a huge markup on drygoods or $260 for an acro colony just b/c it's in a big store and they need to pay rent......enough said. I also second that Rich at fishy buisness is a good guy to deal w/(he got me interested in keeping SW), just too far from me and im more into corals/SPS which he has very limited #'s of. Welcome to ORLANDO!

You're lucky to move to a place with such avid reefers and truely a great selection of stores. I got lucky in being out here when I started, although Marcye was not owner of SITC at the time, so Orlando had some fixing to do, still.

They're my favorite band. I had Long Beach ShortBus (Eric Wilson, RAS One, Damien, etc.) play a house party here in Orlando after they played UCF Spirit Splash. They played for 3 hours for 200 kids and 2 kegs. Mostly Sublime songs, a little Grateful Dead, some Led Zeppelin, and a couple of their own songs. I also met LBDA(Long Beach Dub Allstars) when Louie-dog was still alive.

Always been a toss-up for Sublime and Led Zeppelin as my favorite band, and it depends on the day that you ask me. Great music moves the world.

Okay, Mike, no making me look old now, lol. Stairway to Heaven was my 8th grade dance theme...Geez...get me my cane!!! But, I still know every word by heart...although you'd NEVER want to hear me sing it. Sorry for the hijack damitchsta...just had to have my say as Zeppelin is rarely a subject of conversation these days. Have a great day all, cause as we know:

"If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on. "
