good MH & T5 combo

I am putting a single 175w SE over my 40g tank with 2X39w T5 retros for additional lighting and actinics. But what combo will make the colors pop. I was thinking a 14kk EVC with UVL T5 Super actinic but wanted some opinions before I purchased them.

I would go with the Iwasaki 15k halide and ATI B+ for T5's.
You could also play around with the T5s with 1 ATI B+ and 1 UVL SA or a true actnic

yeah I have heard a lot of good things about that bulb but man at $90 a lamp plus shipping kind of hard to swallow changing every 6 months but seems to be worth the expense.

You can order from Hellolights and have them price match coralreefecosystems for 72.95 I think. Halides should last longer than 6 months.

might have to do that $73 ia not all that bad and I know they should last about 9-12 months. I have read a lot and a lot of people seem to like the Hammie 14kk bulb as well. Will have to see what I like. Will have to go search the Photography forum for pics.

Here you go. This is my tank with 2 175w Iwasaki 15ks. 2 54w ATI B+, 1 UVL SA and 1 UVL daylight T5s

That is a good looking tank dc_909. I love the color. I think I will go with the Iwasaki and 2X39w T5 with blue+ and UVL super actinic.
