Here we go. The pics of the mantis suck. I am trying to get him to come out more, and he has since I put the hermits in. Just once he sees the camera, he hides again

I have stuck my hand in there a few times to move things around. If my hand is on the other side of the tank, I don't worry at all. It is when I have to clean up around his cave area that I get a little nervous. I don't know if he is big enough to really hurt me, I am sure I would do more damageto myself getting my hand out of the tank and the emotional scars from letting my kids hear me scream like a girl scout.

hmmm well now that would be something to see. I know the fastest I ever moved was when my pistol shrimp got a hold of a finger while I was cleaning one day.....I didn't actually get hurt by the shrimp but scraped the hell out of my hand as I whipped it out of the tank at the speed of light.
