What he said. If one tank seems to have an excess, I'll grab a few and put them in another. They've been friends of mine for about 30 years now and have NEVER harmed a thing. IMO, just another part of a good CUC
Asterina stars contribute to your CUC and typically are beneficial. Under Asteria there are many species, only a small percentage are considered not reef safe. These non reef safe ones are rare to hitch hike in and have been reported by some that the darker ones are more likely to be a threat. They usually do not reach an out of control population and if that happens manual removal is an option as well as natural preditors.
