Good or Bad

I saw a catapillar looking something in my tank. It was a little smaller than a wooden pencil. It was light green with white bristles. It came out from under a rock about 2 to 3 inches . Does anyone know what it is?

Might be a big bristle worm. Danieljames had one for a long time that was pretty big and never hurt anything, but I've heard horror stories, too.

Just imagined the pencil size. That's probably just a bristle worm (not the big ones). Was it somewhat iridescent?

Yes is was somewhat iridesent. It looked like what would be the head was smaller and was rooting in the sand . thanks for the reply.

No it did'nt look like that. It was light green with white bristles . The bristles stood straight up and not out to the side.The bristles were in little patches about 1/4" x 1/4" and about 1/2" apart they ran down both sides of the body.Wish I would have had time for a photo. Will be ready next time I see it.
