Good pics with a sonyDSC-W7

Hi does anyone have any tips on taking good tank shots. any info on settings,lighting,distance from glass my camera has good zoom but something about the light makes the pictures come out blury and faded , Thanks

1: settings @ 200 speed does best.
2: no lighting from room looks better.
3: zoom from about 2-3 feet away.
