Hey,

I am planning a trip for the beginning of August to Florida, like Universal Studios and Disney World and Miami, and I'm thinking about going to Key West and doing one of the snorkeling things there.

Can you guys give me some recommendations?

I've ever been snorkeling before but I am a very experienced swimmer and my gf can swim but I'm not sure how well.

What would be a good place to go, good price, less likely to get eaten by a shark, etc.?

TIA

Go snorkeling off a boat in John Pennecamp. I've dove some places that were so shallow you didn't need to SCUBA, it just made it more fun :p

Only problem with FL is that many of the reefs are quite a ways of shores (at least down south).

How about anywere that has beach access on the east coast of the state. If you wanna see some accual coral, scuba jupiter reef's, the best in the state of fl. 80 ft down just out of the inlet

GOOD PLACES TO SEE CORAL
BATHTUB BEACH (STUART)
ANY REEF IN LAUDERDALE BY THE SEA (FT LAUDERDALE)
ON THE WEST SIDE OF BAHIA HONDA BRIDGE ON THE LEFT SIDE AS YOUR HEADED TOWARD KEY WEST IS A GREAT SPOT FOR SNORKLING 3 FEET DEEP AND ALOT OF CORAL
