good refugium or not?????

Is this a HOB unit..?? It looks like it is.... If so, I'd say go for it... Looks like it's got everything you'd need for a medium sized tank.... One more thing, if it's going to be for a 55gal tank, I'd still look into additional filtration.... I've got a HOB fuge similar to that one ( minus ) the skimmer on my 37gal and I also have additional powerheads and a large canister filter ( with surface skimmer attachment ) running on it....

Doesn't look like a HOB unit. It's a regular sump, water overflow from the main tank to the sump via gravity and return to the main by the 600GPH pump. $245 includes the skimmer (I just noticed it looks like the Coralife Needle-Wheel Super Skimmer), light and pump though.

If you need a HOB unit, this is the one:

For a 50 gallon tank, you should be able to achieve the same with HOB skimmer and HOB refugium.

Sump will give you more flexibility, you can put a much better skimmer in there, hide all sort of equipments, have better flow rate, ease of maintenance.....

is good to use a wet/dry and later a hob refu.?????
No, i won't do it that way, go with a fuge from day one. Everytime you change something major like that, you are risking a mini-cycle.

Aquafuge Pro Refugiums is one I have seen at Dr. Fostersmith.com. I have not read anything about how good the skimmer is but I have seen the fuge and it is put together very well.

The one you posted on your first post should be fine:

I costed out all the parts from the picture:
Coralife Super Skimmer: $80
PC light $30
Pump $40
10gallon tank with baffles $30
Total = $180

You can save some money by making your own refugium. But then you might not feel like doing it yourselves.

I think it looks like a pretty good setup and looks to be around a 20g or maybe larger. I did my own which is sort of similar out of a 20g high tank and am using a Euroreef ES5-2 skimmer and a Mag 7 return pump.

For me to put this together with a top notch skimmer and return pump, it cost me around $350.
