Good SCUBA diving clubs in NJ???

Hi,

I recently moved to Cranford, NJ 07016 and would possibly be interested in joining a scuba diving club in the area. Anyone
have any suggestions which diving clubs are pretty good?

I looked online and came up with a list but figured word of mouth might be a little more helpful. I have about 12- 15 dives under my belt so I am pretty new to the hobby but would like to get more experience and have some fun diving.

So, if anyone knows a good diving club where they are safe, understanding, and willing to dive with a new guy I am all ears.

Thanks in advance

Jim

I asked just about the same question last week and a lovely RC member posted me this link : NJ Scuba Divers It has a listing of dive shops, clubs, and everything under the sun involving diving NJ. I just moved recently too. Where'd you come from and what do you think of NJ thus far?

VengefulSakhmet,

Thanks for the link

I recently moved from Long Island to NJ and like it so far. Took some getting used to finding my way around, but have been enjoying the area.

The more I read about Jersey and the wreck diving that is around here the more I cant wait to join a club and get into the water.

Any luck finding a good dive shop or club?

small world...I just recently moved from Babylon. I haven't ventured out yet to any shops yet. I know what you mean about the wreck diving. Ever since I went to St Lawerence I'm dying to go again. I really must go check out the shops, but first I want to see where the ocean is here. It was so easy on the Island. I'm a bit curious about how the water clarity compares. I really do miss knowing where all the nice beaches are.
