Google maps goes underwater!

go to google maps (maps.google.com), type in "Wilson Island, Queensland, Australia"

you will see a map of a tiny island. drag the person on top of the zooming tool to a small red dot located above and left of the island. you will then be able to enjoy specatular views of the coral reef there!

i think they did this for 20 reefs, this is the only one i know of so far. looking for more...
 
i found some more red dots...

Molokini, Maui, HI

Hanauma Bay, Honolulu, HI (gotta zoom in a little)

both not as good as the Great Barrier Reef
 
Lady Elliot Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia

last one i think, there is a real sick blue coral here, see if you can find it
 
Nice, wouldn't mind working for Google if my job involved taking pictures of corals all day

I just spent some time cruising the Google reefs and trying to recognize different species of sps

If you use the arrows while doing street view, there's quite a bit of area to explore
