GoPro Hero 3+ Advice

My wife is amazing and surprised me with this for my bday yesterday!

What is the best way to use it diving/snorkeling? Pole? Wrist? Head?

I worry about carrying it on a pole- what if I need my hands??

When I used my snorkeling in Fiji I just hand held it. I did have a head strap on it that I had for shooting while we kayaked out to the reef. It also made a good wrist strap so I didn't have to worry about dropping it into the depths. Wish we would have had fins as my movies are a little jerky from kicking. The pole looked cool but I didn't have one. Never really though about putting on my head with the mask and snorkel gear already there. Guess I could have though. With the hand held method I was able to move and "zoom" in really close to the corals without busting up my face (or the coral).

I'm no pro, but that was my experience.
