GoPro Hero 3 Black Questions

My wife gave me permission to pick one up, but I want to find out a few things first. I plan on using it for general recording stuff with the family like going to amusement parks, hiking, biking, etc. of course, I'll have to do a fish eye view of my tank, which is nowhere near on par with many of tanks here on RC.

How is battery life/recording time? I plan on getting the 64 gig memory card.

With the LCD backpack, does it have it's own battery or does it use the camera battery?

How does it impact recording time?

How is audio with and without the dive housing?

I did some youtubing and found some answers. Nick Stubbs dropped one in his tank and got 69 minutes of 1080p/60fps video on one battery. He also stated that 69 minutes took just under 15 gig, and estimates that about 4.5 hours of footage will fit on a 64 gig sd card.
