GoPro Probs

I just got a Hero 4 Silver and I'm trying to get some good footage of my tank but for whatever reason the videos always come out grainy and super bad quality even on 1080 or 4k. If anyone has any experience with gopro's and tanks, please help me out. I also have an LED which I'm sure doesn't help as far as lighting goes.

I've personally never used a GoPro, but do they allow you to do manul settings adjustments? If so, can you control ISO, shutters speed and aperture?
