Gored Toadstool

Think I found the reason my Toadstool wasn't standing up when I tried to move a birdsnest that was very close to poking it. When I pulled the Bird it had a branch into the Toad about 3/4". Now there is a whole in the Toad just above it's foot.

How to help out the old Toad???

Assuming the lighting is sufficient & the parameters are within reason, just give the toadstool some time. It should heal up without any problems.

He seems to be doing well just laid over. Hope it does heal on his own.

People use toothpicks sometimes to anchor a leather frag onto a rock. Granted the birdsnest is a bit larger than a toothpick, but it's the same concept really, it'll heal in no time. :)

Sometimes increasing the flow around the coral will help it to perk up. Once they have a firm base, that stalk of theirs is very strong. They can handle it IME. GL.

Well you guys were right, it's recovering without any help. Today it turned it's head towards the lights with decent polyp extension. Not standing up straight but I'm hopeful now.
