gorgonian and Sun coral

Ok I admit I got ahead of myself when I purchased these two corals without doing proper research.I figured they were just like other corals but if course they aren't. I read the thread concerning Sun corals some great ideas I'll try them. But for the gorgonian, I seem to get extension in the morning before the lights go on but that's it then it just looks almost dead the rest of the day. Should I also be supplementing it with mysis shrimp? Or is there anything else I can supplement to make these 2 corals healthy again?

I feed my suns a mix of cyclopeze , mysis shrimp and Garlic Guard. They wi start to react to the garlic so you can get them on a daytime feeding schedule. Feed each polyp w/ an
small syringe or eye dropper. Feel free to check out my albums. I got my first ones by accident and now have approximately 150+heads of yellows and blacks. They are by far the corals everybody likes in my tank.

Mine started out as 15 heads down to two sickly ones wish I had know about this site and thread sooner. But I am happy to say both heads reacted immediately to the tupper ware method! :-) very excited I really hope I can bring this coral back. Will new heads just pop up where the old ones were?

From what I understand Gorgonians feed on plankton in the water column. I have one in my tank...Polyp extension from just before lights out til morning hours. I use DT's phytoplankton and feed about 10 ml every couple days. So far so good. I'm sure you'll get some solid advice here. I am new to keeping gorgonian's.

Hi
Could you post a picture of the gorgonia? Otherwise it's pretty difficult to give you any advice on what to feed. Are you sure that it is a azoo gorgonia?

I have a blueberry and also got it when I didn't do the research first and relied on the advise of a LFS which said just feed it a couple times a week. Fortunately, I did research right when I got home (will never buy blind again). So far, it is doing great (only 5 wks so very early on). I probably got a super healthy one which is giving me a better chance.

I have full polyp extensions most of the day and also sometimes at night as well. I target feed it 2 times a day at aprox 6 am and also at aprox 6 pm when I get home. I use the Julian's Thing feeder which makes it easier. I mix about 2 oz of tank water with 1/4 teaspoon of a fairly equal mix of Reef Nutrition Oyster Feast, Phyto Feast, and Roti Feast. The phyto makes it easier to see where the water is flowing so I can try to get some food to all if possible. I don't turn off the powerheads, just the skimmer for 2 hrs after I feed. I tried it with the powerheads off but I get a better response leaving them on. I have good water flow past it and so far it looks happy and is growing a little.
