Peter, are the polyps a light blueish color??? If so, it's called a blueberry and is non photosynthetic. It's a deep water and a filter feeder.

No, the coral is a very monochromatic tan/yellowish color. The NPS peeps seem to think it's a Rumphella species.

Oh, the bushey sea rod. Yes, that would be photosynthetic. I'm used to seeing them with a little darker color on the stalk but that may just be your lighting or camera.
