Those polyps are used to collect the food. So I'm guessing feeding will do it. You should research culturing phytoplankton it is super easy. You can did it In a water bottle. Once you have the plankton just use a eye dropper and squirting it at the gorg.
K so first off thanks for the help guys I really appreciate everyone's input. I went ahead and got some reef chilli and tried that and also moved it to a higher flow area. Curently it has full polyp extension and showed an instant response to the food.
My question now is how often should I feed it? I have no issue with premixing some chilli and spot feeding but Im a little skeptical about the multiple times a day or every single day. Any thoughts on this are appreciated.
Multiple times a day :O... Maybe 2-3 times each week. I have bean trying so hard to get some large gorgonians but, storm season in Florida makes them a little hard to come by atm.
Ok so Ive got it happy and I think its eating good. The next problem is that usually I turn the powerheads off when I spot feed in order to make sure everything is able to grab and eat the food. When I do this usually the gorgonian closes right up and when I turn them back on it fully extends its polyps. I assume this keeps the coral from fully eating. Any advice on this dilemma?
