Got 10 new frags for my 150G. Placement questions!

Hey guys, so I went shopping and I got myself 10 new SPS frags. (I didnt know whether to put this thread on general, LED or SPS so it went here. Hope its ok)

The reason for this thread is that I am worried about placement. Previously, I had a coral at the top and I got concerned that the white tips were actually bleaching or tissue loss. I lowered it down and it's been good since. However, I have not resolved the issue of whether I can't place coral near the top or not.
Someone who is knowledgeable please tell me if the top is ok or a no no. I was told that my LEDs had too much power directed down. If I can't put coral at the top of the tank, then I am very limited in space due to the tank being somewhat narrow. (wishing I had done the 180G now and not the 150 ).

These are my LEDS. I can't remember brand, but i figure a picture of them should help ID'ing them

I lowered the intensity to 30-50% on blues (Everytime I add something new i lower to barely on ~5-10%) and barely 10% on whites. Would this be ok to have if the corals are at the top of the tank? ( standard 150G)

Right now i have the new ones at the top-ish, Lights were on meanwhile I put them in but its on lowest setting for now. I see every single amazing tank having all SPS at the top and LPS, zoas and softies at the bottom. So, there must be a trick to it? Or is it just me that I cant put them there for some reason
Ofcourse I would prefer to do 100% on blues and 30% on white but if i cant then i cant lol.

I have the same lights 8" off the water of a 40b. Some sps is 3" from the surface and i have them set at 50% blues and barely on for whites.

OK so basically similar to what I do. At the very top, I have maybe 10-15 inches of water, then about 4 of air. Think this would be ok?

Yep, I usually take a picture after 10 min of placement in the tank, then check new frags every 4-6 hours daily to make sure that they aren't browning /bleaching. the picture gives me a reference to make sure I'm not losing my mind.
