Got a bulb Question....

Need an electricians input... I have a 250watt HQI bulb, the only thing is, it was purchased in italy, it is an Ushio bulb, Can I still use it in the US or are the bulbs designed for specific running voltages? tks in advance.

i am by no means an expert or even have a clue as to what i'm even talking about, but isn't electric ...well..electric ? if its a 110 line that runs 15 amps, then whats the difference between an american made plug than an italian one ?

Italy uses 230V at 50Hz, we use 120V at 60Hz.... I was wondering if that would make a difference..... don't want to burn down the house, you know.

It ought to have some sort of labeling on the bulb: my Ushio has some labeling there. If you have the packaging someone online may read Italian. I know a bit.

Just the bulb, not the ballast, right? It shouldn't matter, IMHO.
