And people thought the fat lady on the beach was out on line :)

I believe Steve thought the lady on the beach was out of line!

Steve, are you sure you want some Formula 2 pellets? Wouldn't your fish be happier with some frozen food, say some Ocean Nutrition Brine Shrimp Plus? Like 4 or so packs of 70 cubes?

Perhaps Darin would like some for that starving Kole tang of his?

The benefits of attending meetings go beyond getting corals and fish from other people, although that is sometimes a part. It offers an opportunity to meet up at others houses, see their tanks, speak of successes/failures, offer advice, offer physical help, borrow equipment, and basically just build up a network of others in the hobby, which time and time again has proven to be invaluable for several individuals. All this comes at a cost of nothing, just that you contribute by your presence at said meetings about once a month whenever possible. Without people showing up, the benefits above simply don't work. Yeah, the guys did give you a hard time, but please understand it was because you haven't shown up before and such have not "given back" anything (not necessarily physical goods/money). By contributing and being more active, you will find that such questions/requests are reacted to MUCH differently to an individual we see on a regular basis.

All that being said, if it sounds like something you'd be interested in, I will once again extend the olive branch that Joe originally tried, to join us at the next meet sometime in August. If not, all I can offer is my best wishes to you in the hobby.

Bring that olive branch to the next meeting so we can smack Steve in the head with it....

I'm serious about that frozen Ocean Nutrition brine shrimp plus. My fish prefer other brands, so I have these packs just taking up room in my freezer....

This sort of attitude may result in your being banned from our club.

I think you two may have been husband and wife or brother and sister in a past life. Have a good one you two.

Oh, I have a Blue striped hamlet I can let go for next to nothing, I will say that he has an appetite for crabs, shrimps, and small fish.

Hey -- I live in Cumberland Co. JDL, not Lebanon....

My brother just visited from San Diego -- I do miss him and my sister in law and his circle of friends -- wise a$$ sort of people that I naturally got along with well.

I think I will need an olive tree with me this weekend....

Nah, its a family joke. My grandmother lives in Palmyra. I'm trying to cheer myself up; had to put my cat to sleep today. :( But it was for the best; she suddenly got very ill, despite being only 14 years old.

I think it was a Perry county reference.
Matt

Easy now - We perry county people don't all marry our sister's, have couches and refrigerators on our porches and cars on blocks.

We are just hangin on to our guns and religion.

I know your cool, Greg, I forgot you lived up that way. I cling to my guns too, nothing wrong with that, you kind of have to when it takes the police better than an hour to show up if you call. Have a good one.

Emily, sorry to hear about your cat, 14 is a good life for a cat, IMO. I know I have gotten pretty attached to all the ones I have had over the years. Take it easy, maybe see you at TFP this weekend.
