Got dry rock

well i ordered some dry rock. only a few lbs and our good supplier here hooked me up with an incredible piece or dry rock that will fit in my 5g hex perfectly. i took several pictures of it at different angles now bear with me these pics were taken with my phone so they are far from the greatest quality and some are a little blurry cause my hand moved a little.

this rock is amazing i hate the shape though because it looks so good from every angle i dont know if i will be able to decide how to place it in the tank lol. there are tons of crevices and little caves where small gobies can call home and no matter how i place the rock it always makes a nice cave so i know this is going to make for a great base for my rockwork

this is the only piece i ordered because i didnt need alot for this little tank plus i already picked up a few much smaller pieces from my LFS before i saw the thread informing us that he was selling dry rock. i also ordered some live rock for another tank that i will post pictures of once he gets a chance to dive again and collect more rock.

also here is a pic of the quick rockwork i made with this rock and some of the pieces i had from my LFS now this is not my final choice as i still have some work to do before i can put rock in and im going to use the rock to hide some stuff so ill have to have all the equipment in the tank before i make the final structure. this is just to show the possibility this rock has

That is such nice rock. That rock alone makes me want to do another build. Too bad I am going back to school and can't afford all that stuff. Hopefully Richard still has that source in a few years when I do move/upgrade. It is going to be about 80% dry rock so I can really take the time to aquascape and build structures. Then I'm going to throw a bunch of reef rubble all over the structure and let it spread its goodness.

and i just noticed that the last picture didnt work so ima post it here. this is a pic of the 1 piece i got from tampa bay saltwater plus some smaller pieces i already had. this was just a test build to see how creative i could be with this tank.
