Ok so i got my ro/di unit got it all set up it has the optinal flush kit on it is there supposed to bewater coming out of the flush hose when it is running? I shut the valve but it still comes out. It comes out alot faster with the valve open but then you dont get anything out of the ro unit I am not real clear on what the flush kit does. Can someone enlighten me? Here is the one i got. https://www.purelyh2o.com/product.php?productid=16210&cat=249&page=1
If you are thinking of ordering it it says it comes with a built in tds meter it is not built in it is kinda like a digital thermometer type I am thinking of calling them wich do you think would be better? built in or not?

the flush kit just flushes out the membrane after the unit is shut off The water will stop after a little while. It does not matter if the tds meter is built in it still will do the same thing. As the unit is brand new i would let it run or a while before using the water in the tank. I ran a five gallon bucket worth of water in mine before using it on the tank.

It said to let it run for 2 hours so i did but the flush runs anytime the unit is puting out clean water. Are you using a float? I was going to order something so it will fill my reserve with out having to watch it at only 75gpd it might take a bit

the waste water will always run when the unit is running. that is the water that the ro membrane rejects. I do not have a float i just watch it but i end up with water on my basement floor all the time. i just forget about it some times i am planning to put in a float valve.

I called them today and they said that the waster water should be 3 times greater and then my phone went dead. I will call them again tomorow my meter is seperate and not sure how it is going to tell me when it needs flushed. or what my reading should be out of the tap it is 156 and after the ro/di it is 65 is this right?

I would say that your RO should bring it down a bit more than that. Let it run for a while and it should go down. Tap water will read differently everywhere. Before I moved to Springfield, mine was up in the 250s, but I've heard of some as high as 500 or better.

The main thing is that it's zero after the DI chamber. You should flush after every use for 5 minutes. This will help prolong the life of your RO membrane. Hope that helps. When I host a meeting, we can talk about how the unit works and what the purpose of each part is. If you need any other help in the meantime, PM me and I'll shoot you my cell #.

i have over 200 going in from the tap and coming out of the ro it is 0, sometimes 1 and after di it i always 0 i would not use anything over about 5 or 10 in the tank.

Ok i just checked it it is 199 before and 0 after gf checked it last night so i dont no if it was her or if it wasnt broken in yet?
