can't find any good pix of George- my 10+" adult male Naso literatus (lipstick tang).
In any case (IME/IMO) Naso species are not appropriate for home aquariums and rarely reach adulthood in them. Those that do survive to adulthood are usually stunted (never reach full size). This could be due to several factors including diet, aquarium size etc.
The purpose of this thread is to inform those that are unaware.
George ended up dying prematurely in my aquarium.
At first I thought it was bad food but I finally reached the conclusion it was due to oxygenation starvation caused by a heavy tank feeding.
Lots of people (myself included) have made the mistake of placing a Naso in a small home aquarium.
