Got Niger Trigger?

I hear Nigers are iffy with clams,,, has anyone had a niger with a clam without any problems or is that like putting a clown trigger in a tang full of one finned damsels?

Is it a case by case basis, or the clam is toast vs the Niger?

I have no problems with a 2.5" niger trigger with my squamosa and crocea, but then again, he is still small and I still have to wait and see when he gets bigger.

Thanks for the insight fellas, We have a 3 inch niger and Id love to have a clam but I know a fellow whos niger killed every clam he tried.

Now I know its worth a try cause it sounds like he was the minority.

thanks

I have a 3"-4" Niger in my 65 gallon full of propagated corals but no clams yet and he has not touched a thing. I keep him fed well and even have a couple of fish in there with him, a lawnmower blenny and a neon dottyback. NO ISSUES yet thank goodness. Freed

I have a 3-4 inch niger trigger and a 3 inch picasso trigger and neither of them bother snails or anything else. My theory is if you keep them well fed, about three times a day with live marine fish sometimes they won't start eating everything....

3 times a day with live marine fish? ya right!? what do you feed them $4 damsels? between the lion, grouper and trigger it would be about $20 a day.

I did put the trigger and the clam together, the trigger hasnt even so much as noticed the clams presence, so I think im in the clear.

u can breed mollies
they're a tropical fish thats a brackish fish and can be acclimated to salt water
they breed pretty fast, my mom started w/8 and 3 months later had 300 , they have like 20-30 babies each that are full grown in a couple months
