Got some Zoas through the mail....

.....AND they don't look good. Let me say that I got them from someone on another site and this wasn't his fault. He has even said he would return the money. They got shipped last tuesday and I just got them....Neon Dragon eyes. They are closed up, very tight and white-ish looking. A few look like they are trying to open and I think I see some green coming out but, its too early yet to tell. Its been 6 days what do you think?

zoas are pretty hardy, i would give them a week in a quarentine tank only because the die off may put something toxic in your tank, but if your diligent on water changes keep them and see what happens. I've had zoas in transport for 5 days that looked bad when I got them but they came back eventually.

did you dip them? At this point if their peeking, I would let them be. Moving them will be stressful now. As soon as you see ANY fungus, you need to dip them immediatly.

No I didn't dip...I didn't really see anything like fungus on them. They just look really closed up.

I have told this story before. I got some two weeks after they were shipped (misdirected PRIORITY mail, apparently). The ones I paid for didn't make it (sender made up for it and it was the PO's fault), but the freebies did. I dipped them, but I dip everything...

Mine looked bad too when I got them but after a week, they opened up and they are doing well and growing fast. Do give them a chance.

I notice that a few have a clearish "goo" coming out of them and a few look like they have given up the ghost. I don't think its looking good.
