I remember back when people used to freak out when finding a mantis shrimp in their tanks. They'd often hunt it down and kill it immediately...
now they're a hot commodity. I'd love a small one myself but haven't seen one in quite a while. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the tips everyone! I have seen the two @ CRS...been trying to buy the smaller one for like two months now but it belongs to the dude who works there and he wont sell it : (
Has any one ordered from stomatopod.com before? How much did they charge for shipping? I e-mailed them but have not heard back from them yet.
shipping for a mantis on stomatopod.com or petsolutions.com runs about $50. Ordering could be cost effective if enough people are interested in ordering a mantis though, as we could combine our orders and split the shipping.
Thanks shiveley! Browsed through that site a couple times...
Well, I made it to Jo Jo's for the first time! Cool place! The two guy's I spoke with were very friendly (Mike and Jimmy I think). Unfortunatly they had just sold their last Peacock Mantis about an hour before I showed up($20!) : ( They did have a large Zebra Mantis ($179!)...not what Im lookin for. I stopped by Coral Reef on the way home and aside from the two (NFS) they had a new gorgous large Peacock ($120)...looking for a smaller one I can watch grow : )
I am in communications with stomatopod.com now so if anyone else is interested in one and would like to do a group buy to save on shipping let me know! I am in no huge rush as I am just now setting up the tank to house Mantis in...(thanks FunMan1) : )
