Got Stomatopod?

nice, so if i tell you which one i want, its mine?:)

i know which one i would get but just wanna make sure we get a ood enough showing.

Hmmm... I started this thread!... (lol) : ) So I should get dibb's...
Just kidding!
I am going to ask stomatopod.com if they will honor a group purchase from R/C members at a discounted rate. In the mean time I suggest doing research as to what species will suit you. Feel free to contact them and reserve the exact specimen you want!
If shipping is $50 (estimate) and we get @ least 5 people to order that makes it $10 per person which is more than reasonable for "hand selected" specimens!

Experts say "next to impossible" (without fatality)...
I have figured my way around that though! I intend to set up a 30g divided into two chambers to safely house two together~
(kinda) lol...

I have always been attracted to Odontodactyls scyllarus (peacock) and would like to find a small one (2-3") and I would prefer a female as I hear they can be more personable.
I am undecided on the other, although since the peacock is a "smasher", I like the idea of keeping a "spearer" on the other side...so Im kinda leaning towards Pseudosquilla ciliata : )

Yeah i was also wanting peacock. Was there one that you wanted inperticular from the site? Cause i was liking the the very first one.

If you get a spearer also this one looks pretty awesome
Lysiosquillina maculata

looks like they have a Phillipine order coming in 1-2 weeks with a bunch of mantis.

Also he wrote this just today

Species from our Jan 14th shipment are doing well and all have been listed with the exception of the peacocks. Peacock photos have been out of focus so a photo re-shoot is underway. They will be listed upon completion.

When you're ready to proceed let me know. I'm pretty sure that I'll be in on this as long as we can get enough people involved to bring the shipping down to a reasonable level. I'm leaning towards a wennerae (because of their smaller size and hardiness), and/or a scyllarus (if they get a smaller specimen in).

kdblove_99 ~ That first one is spectactular! (emerald green)... I also like the red one listed on the page where they are not yet for sale! The large peacock I saw yesterday @ C.R.S. was also very beautiful! (just too big) It was mostly green but also had blue, red, orange, and yellow on him. That color variaty seems most common from the ones I have seen in person. I think any peacock would be cool! I just hope to find a very active young one (not too big) with a good interactive personality... : )
I e-mailed stomatopod.com last night inquireing about a group purchase of perhaps 5 or more (I want 2) so I will keep everyone posted!

I emailed also. Told him you would be emailing:)

He said the group but was a go and would give discounts on Shrimp and shipping. he would also reserve which ones we wanted.

Seems like a very nice guy

Awesome! He may have replied to my e-mail already but I cant check it from work cause it's blocked : ( It will have to wait till I get home...
Cant wait to see the pics of the new peacocks!!!
