Grazing fishes

try using a yellow eyed tang most tangs are grazing fish

He did mention in his original post what BESIDES tangs is good for algae...

I have had flame angels successfully help with algae problems and they are always grazing on both the rock and the glass if you have enough algae. However, they are pretty hit and miss as far as being reef safe goes.

I'd probably stick to something like a lawnmower blenny if I wanted something reef safe, not a tang, and a good algae eater.

Lawnmower blennies only eat certain kinds of algae though, like for instance I've never seen one touch bubble algae and mine never ate my stiff branching types, I had to get a tang for that.

thanks guys, forgot to tell you but I also have a DSB in the display so would the lawnmower disturb it? flame angel was something I thought about but its so hit and miss though but a very pretty fish.
