Great Barrier Reef & Dry Tortugas pics

Just wanted to share a few pictures from recent snorkel & dive trips. My wife photographed the pictures from the Great Barrier Reef and I photographed the pictures from Dry Tortugas (which is near Cuba, but still in the United States/70 miles West of Key West, Florida). The cameras used were cheap,
35 mm disposable cameras w/ no flash. Enjoy!

wow great shots, love the queen angel!

I was surprised how long the angel stayed in the same area.

Cool shots even with the cheap cameras. I always like the low tide reefscapes.

I plan on getting a digital underwater camera soon. I took a few pictures several years ago in Hawaii with a cheap camera as well. I attached some pictures of the trip below, but the quality of the pictures is not as good. Lets just say even with cheap cameras, you learn from your mistakes with underwater photography.

Hey, nice pictures. :)

One question, where is this photo of? Ie., what island? Does the bay (or whatever this is) have a name or is it some random spot somewhere?

Thanks!

The photograph is from Laupahoehoe Beach Park on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 1946 a tidal wave swept across the village that once stood on this lava-leaf (that's what laupahoehoe means) peninsula and claimed the lives of 20 students and four teachers. A memorial in this pretty little park recalls the tragedy.
