Great Googley Moogley (*#!$&*^

I just decided to go HARDCORE on the acro.s and I was doing pretty good until I went hard core....The latest blunder was a Korallin calcium reactor...after I bought a coralife that had a broken pump...but I digress. I have a 90 gal. reef ready that is about a year and a half old...I have a sump/refugium with caeto. and a Euroreef that is rated for a 90 gal....I have 2 250w Reeflux 12k MH (DE) and moonlights.
I bought a whole bunch of frags and they were doing great when I had outrageous calcium,kh, and Magnesium readings 700 25 and 1700....thats when I got the reactor...now the tank is cloudy. My levels are closer to where they should be and my corals are just sitting there half polyped and colored....It is so frustrating to throw down some more cash to try and play "God" better, and then.............Nuth'n!!!
ANY ADVICE???

What about UV sterilizers...I saw a tank that was clean and growing with one of those bad boys.....I also forgot to mention the hair algae and the occaisional ciano.
THANKS.

Totally rinsed the stuff.. several times...I think that this Korallin reactor is designed for really large tanks, and I'm having a hard time getting it not to snow my tank (precipitation) or fall out of solution...my calcium and kh just jump way up every time I try to start using it...it is week 2 of tweaking and we shall see if this bubble/drip is the right one.

Snow, I'm betting: precipitation from the calcium load. You might try hand-dosing until you can get reliable instructions on the reactor. I've only seen that happen once, when I was a newbie and didn't know better than to chase an alk dose with the calcium[I hand-add]---it's my impression that sometimes this can happen with reactors, due to something with the setting. Sorry I can't help you on the reactor, because I'm still hand-adding, and I'm bone ignorant on reactors. All I can offer is a guess.

This is of no help but I wanted you to know that at least one person knows what "Great Googley Moogly" is from. I say it everytime I'm angry. One of the greatest lines Mel Brooks has ever written. ;-)

I know Ive heard it but been so long. Was that in Blazin Saddles?

Oh and I would turnd down bubble and flow thru rate on reactor. Are you usin coarse media?

Pretty coarse media (A.R.M.)I have cut the bubble and the drip back significantly....Luckily I found that sight posted by the dragon guy..that sounds a little more reasonable....Ive seen all of those movies and don't remember "Great Googley Moogley"....I picked it up from the Snickers comercial where the guy is painting the KC Chiefs endzone, and he left out the I...and the guy comes up to this old man and goes " Wow...Looks great,....Who are the Chefs???" and the old man smacks his face and goes "Great Googoly Moogoly" and the announcer says "Not going anywhere?" Anyhoo.....I have decided to wait for my reef to crash and everything to die and get a motorcycle...either that,..or....it will clear up and look amaizing...one of the two....seems like the minute you start obsessing about something it just turns to crap....Ya know?? Thanks for all of the input....I really like being a part of this sick community!!
