Great, my osmolator is dying.

My 5017 has been acting up. Can't get power. I plug it in and it does not come on. But it has been intermittent. I came home and it had the red light and my return chamber is a couple of quarts low.

I unplugged it, but then could not get power. Tried and tried. It isn't the plug end. Took it apart. The power connector are solid it seems. Nothing broke or corroded. Looks clean. No power. Give up. Fill my sump, and there is the green light. ***.

Nobody to call, I'm working 12 hour shifts, and my ATO does not work. :(

OK, first off.... forget what I said.

Since the green light is always on, I think of it as the power light. So....

The normal light is off. No pump. I top off to go to bed, "normal" light comes on. I take sensor off, make sure it's clean. It is. Check connection to pump, it's clean and good. Undo terminal block to make sure I have good connection.

Check pump, it's clean, nothing in it. I check pump connections on circuit board. Good..... my pump is dead. Can't get it to turn on no matter what.

Any suggestions to try?

Not sure on the unit you have but my Tunze osmolator 3155 pump works really well. Mine has been running for over 2 years in pretty harsh conditions.

You can get a voltage meter and check the output to the pump or soak the pump in viniger my help if you are getting voltage to the unit.

The pumps usually last about 2 years unless they are used with kalkwasser or there is some debris they could suck in that could cause it to jam. When the yellow LED comes on, does the pump run for a second or two and slow to a stop or does it just not run at all? How old is the unit?

So I ordered anew pump got it hooked up, and nothing. I'm at a loss. I can't see anything obvious and I have a new pump. I get my green light, and when it goes out, the pump does not come on.

Just for future searching.... Got my Osmolator back today. All better. With the new pump, it works great. Thanks guys. Great service.
