One of the benefits of being a reef aquarist in Western New York is having such a wide variety of stores to choose from, most of whom have unique characteristics that make this hobby all the more rewarding.

As someone who previously worked for ARC, I can attest to the fact that Randy endlessly scours the country (and beyond) in search of the most colorful, healthy and sought-after livestock. Boy, do I miss having dibs on it! :spin2:

Is it better to buy water instead of using my well water? And how much is it

you should use RODI and mix salt. I hust moved to a house with a well and I'm pushing 600 PPM into the RODI and 0 out, granted I'm using more DI than ever before.

Be mindfull of just how much waste water RODI makes. I put a 1-1/2" hole through the foundation wall with a PVC pipe - that drains the AC, water softener, and RODI waste out of the house. I'll be adding the water changer to discharge outside.

The house I bought needed the distribution box replaced - turns out that the brine discharge from a water softener can destroy a concrete distribution box in 5-7 years. fortunately the sellers paid for that new box is plastic, though I still try to keep the discharge from the concrete tank.

There is a fish shop that is on the main strip....A Reef Creation is behind that...it is out back of the commercial buildings......
It is well worth the find....

Lol is a bit hidden, remember first time I went there, thought directions were wrong, totally worth the trip
