Great video - AMAZING TANK

Great video, I love Melev's relaxed, humble approach, and I appreciate videos that go into such great detail, and of course, gorgeous tank. Much more impressive than most public aquarium tanks I've seen, this one is a true, full blown reef  The yellow & blue guy is a threadfin snapper (Symphorichthys spilurus), definitely one of the most strikingly beautiful "monster fish" available IMO.

Thanks for the ID. What a pretty fish.

Makes me want to go to Long Island.

I went to the Long Beach Aquarium last year. Really cool.

There have been fish in there that really should not have been.
2 Napolean Wrasses for example. Joe does "push the boundries" every so often.
They have been taken out .

Got to visit that Aquarium a few years ago while I was on the island for a friend's wedding. The fellow I was with disappeared for a few minutes for some reason I don't remember, and I spent the time playing "Gallery Docent", telling nearby folks about what they were looking at.

Could have happily done that all day in front of that magnificent tank . . .

There's another tank, in the same Aquarium, which focuses on local creatures. It features all live macroalgae, and is among the nicest coldwater tanks I've seen.

From the short portion I watched I noticed there weren't any Naso tangs. Wonder why.

I spotted a blonde naso and bluespine unicorn. There's just about every tang you can think of in that tank, I didn't notice the massive achilles until maybe halfway through :lmao:

Anything bigger than a 10g is considered HUGE by the "muggles" (AKA people who don't keep tanks :debi:)

lol!
Too true..
Everytime we have people over at our house, people see my DT just as they are walking in, and go WOW then they go to the living room and see my QT, and always give a " You're seriously letting this kid have this many tanks" look to my parents.
Gets me everytime :lolspin:

What gets me is when people visiting ask if the algae is mold.
