Greatest reef tool under $100!!!

I originally had the regular version, it wasnt very good for 1/2 glass. Get the MAX.

Interesting that the manufacturers description states the max should only be used on glass 5/8 or thicker.

"Fl!pper MAX is made with the strongest rare earth magnets optimized for fresh or saltwater aquariums up to 1in (25mm) in thickness and no less than 5/8in (15mm). "

I do have to admit that the regular one I used does feel under power for my 1/2 inch.

Well I just can't explain why it was so wonderful when I first put it in my glass tank. I did use that regular flipper on the previous acrylic tank which was 3/8 inch in thickness for months....And I am petty sure it was the same feeling...Not working so well after 3 or 4 months. It might have something to do with the way algae smooth out the surface as glass/acrylic is not as smooth under a microscope....
Oh well, it still works better than a mag float, I just have to spend extra time compared to before.

Actually now think about it, I can test by putting a big profanity removed tunze magnet on the dry side to see if that makes a difference.

Flipper here also, and this is after magnavores for years.. I love mine also.. I keep it in the thank, but I may begin doing like others and removing..

Maybe it's something with leaving them in the tank. But I don't want mine to lose it's great capabilities.. It's an awesome cleaner..

Twss.

I have one on my 120 tank and my PBT hates it and flashes it whenever I use it. No worries until it detached and I mistakenly reconnect it with the razor facing out, HUGE problem if my PBT would have flashed it, so something to consider.
