I'm going to admit that I've been a bad owner for the last 6-8 months. Life kind of got in the way. What really got me down was the fact that after having an awesome tank with everything going great, a mysterious disease crept in to the tank and within 3 days, killed all of my fish (save 2). My clown jumped out of the tank and I threw it back in. That's when everything started dying, including the clown.
Anyways, long story short, I kind of gave up on the tank.
I am now doing the responsible thing and cleaning it up. I've switched my lights out, fixed my sometimes working protein skimmer pump, and returned to RODI water.
I have a serious green algae problem and was wondering if there is anything I can do (via chemical) to get rid of it? I think it will clear up over time with upkeep but is there any product out there that can help me get a head start?
Thanks!
