green and tan peacocks

i believe the darker coloured ones are usually males or juvenile females and the paler ones are female (not juveniles). but other than sex, no, no difference as far as i know. they are still the same species after all.

Emerald green O. s over 10 cm are nearly always males. Females can be tan, red, olive or occasionally green. Juveniles under 8 cm are usually yellow to tan, but I have seen them green or olive. Color seems to be affected by habitat and depth - except for the bright green males.

Mines about 3'' long and its a nice olive color. I wish I could find a red one, that one picture I saw of it looked incredible.
