Green Bird Wrasse - Coral Safe?

Hi All,

I have a reef tank (no shrimp) and am thinking about getting a Green Bird Wrasse. Does anyone know if this fish is safe with corals?

Thanks

Matt

I saw one at the LFS and wanted it really bad, but alas the book at the store said not reef safe at all.

Maybe I will have a fowler one day to have one in!

I was considering getting one as well. The one I was considering was about 6-7" in length. He was in oh a 600 gallon frag tank I would say. So corals everywhere. He was at Ocean Devotion in Savage, MN. So he was safe in there and they had him for 3 weeks. But never took him home. $123 they were asking. So might be a hit or miss on being reef safe.

The term "reef safe" is open to interpretation. It might eat all your shrimp, snails and other invertebrates, even eat smaller fish. But I don't think it eats/ picks at corals??
