Green brain / favia

I just purchased a frag that was either a green brain coral or a favia. I noticed that over the past few week, the color has bleached, but I attributed that to the fact that it went from T5's in the store to MH at my house. I do have a question though... It seems to be mounted on a piece of rock. Can I just put that on a rock and it will grow onto it? Do I have to do something special with it??

sorry... didn't realize it was a LPS. I am a newbie
