Green Bubble Coral

Hey guys just got a Green Bubble Coral today. I heard these guys are aggressive. He is near a small leather and frogspawn. Will he hurt them by any chance? Thanks.

They can manage pretty good sweepers, about as tall as your specimen is wide...wave some chopped shrimp over him and you'll see them pretty promptly. Keep the leather downwind of him but out of reach, and the froggie can easily sit upwind. Note: bubbles are a real low-light lps. I have a big problem in my tank with a 250 mh, trying to shade mine so he will expand properly.

Do be careful. I have noticed that this is by far one of the most aggressive corals available. They are capable of winning 'wars' with just about anything, including anemones.

Really? re the aggressive? Galaxia is the one I've always worried about. My bubble's not able to touch anything, but it comes close. Hmm. I'll rethink that.

Well, y'know---I don't see any mushrooms colonizing down there, either. And the things are like aiptasia in my tank.

I have had a regular (white) bubble coral for about three months now. I have seen this sucker sting the crap outta coral that was about three inches to four inches away from it. Nailed my BTA a couple times as well...didn't kill it though, but they are nasty stingers! As with the light, they do tolerate higher levels of light but I have a 24 aquapod and he's at the bottom half shaded with 150 watt 14K MH running 10 hrs
If you have anymore questions about these corals please let me know I love them (probably my favorite coral)

Hi,

Maybe you can help me. I purchased this same coral about a month ago and it's not doing well at all. I also have a Green bubble which did the same thing. After I found a home that it seemed to like, it's doing very well. I'm very worried about my white bubble. Today I found a whole bunch of tiny snails inside of the skeleton and it's not inflating very much, only in the center. Today I picked all the snails off and moved it to the center of the tank at the bottom but I think the flow will be too strong. Any suggestions?

John
