Green Chromis

I introduced 5 Green Chromis into my 260 gallon tank 3 years ago when they were about 1/2" long. They have now grown to about 1 inch but dont seem to be growing any more? Is there a small species? I would have expected them to be larger.

I saw some massive green chromis at my lfs recently - honestly must have been over 3 inches. Sadly they were in a display tank, not for sale.

The four in my tank have not really grown much in the 8 months I've had them, which surprises me - they are such greedy little buggers, eating any and everything as soon as it goes in the tank, 2 to 3 times a day. In the same time period I have has a Hippo more than double in length.

I read somewhere that the Green Chromis will only reach two inches. I also read that they can live up to 15yrs in an aquarium and are very peaceful fish.

they won't school in your tank unless they constantly feel threatened by a tank mate......mine have grown from .5"-.75" to 1.75"-2" in about 11-12 months.
