Green closed brain - not green :)

I bought a closed green brain online about 3 weeks ago. It seems to be doing really well, and is growing... However, like the title says, it's about 95% brown in color. There is some green but it does not show any sign of gaining color back. I've been feeding it almost every other day...

I am running 2x150w MH lamps.

Sal: 1.025
Cal: 520
NO3: 0
Amm: 0
Alk: 2.5 - 2.8
pH: 8.2 - 8.4

Thanks.

its in the open area on the sand at the bottom of the tank.

I am feading him brine and mysis.

I can not take a picture atm, but it looks like this... with a little less green. I've never had a brain, this might be a stupid question if this is normal.

Yes. I target feed. And yes I did see it eat. I just checked and feeder tentacles are out waiting for more.
It looks really good, other than the color.

If he eats the other food then give the shrimp 1 or 2 times a week. They do like daily feeding and the more mixed any stock has the better they will be.

you know you have to acclimate the coral to the new lights. even if it was under brighter lights before the coral needs to be acclimated by putting it in a moderate-low light area, and move it every few days to the higher light area, and up if you are going up with it. corals can lose lots of their pigment along with zooxanthellae if they get light shock and their body decides they dont need all that stuff to photosynthesize. then it takes a long time to get it back, but it should come back.
