Green Duncan Question

I purchased a green duncan polyp about 2 months ago and it was doing great with no target feeding at all. Just the light and where i placed her.

Two days ago, I decided to buy a product called "Reef Bugs" and used the product the first day only to see how it works. Ever since then, my green duncan has not opened up. It was looking great. It had grown a great deal and had two littly frags starting to form in it's stem.

Is it starving?

Did something in my tank mess with it?

I'm unsure as to where to begin on troubleshooting.

The duncan would close up and retract into its stem from time to time before this but would always come back out. Are they supposed to do this?

Thank you for all of your help in advance!

These polyps are photosynthetic, which differentiates them from their sun polyp cousins, but they nevertheless DO require regular feeding of meaty food, like mysis, table shrimp, silversides, etc. IME, they will not survive well with just light. I have never used reef bugs, but my recommendation is to feed as suggested above. Re: your current problem, they could be starving but there may also be something going on with your water, high nitrates or phosphates, etc.
