?? Green Fleece Algae ( Codium ) Safe?

Hi All
I live on Cape Cod and have ready access to this Macro from Japan along the shores here. It is a invasive pest here, but I am wondering if it would be safe in the aquarium? Has any one tried this species or any of the other local New England Macros?

One member here collects codium and probably other macros around Long Island New York and so far hasnt reported any problems.

I think i will go grab some today from the bay and try a small bunch in my 20G hospital tank and see how it does.

Let me know how the collection goes, as far as I can tell the accessible stuff kinda dies back this time of year due to the freezing temps.

Cool, will spend some time reading, alot of pages. And yes it is cold, but we have not had a freeze on the cape yet, water temp is still in the 50's
