214 watts of t5 ho lighting( 1 420 antic, 1 460 antic, 1 14000k , and 1 6500k. all 54 watts) lights on for about 8 hours a day.

mag 7 running the system
3 powerhead 301s on a wave maker
aqua c ev 120 skimmer
15 watt uv sterilizer
a bag of phosban
a bag of carbon.

4 green chromis
1 royal gramma
2 pj cardnals
1 lyretail anthias
5 turbo snails
4 asteria snalis
i arrow crab
4 good size (1-2 inches) scarlet cabs

levels are as follows:

amonia=0
nitrite=0
nitrate=10
ph=8.2
phosphate=<1
salinity=1.021

all the bulbs including the uv bulb are less than 1 month old. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused: :confused: :confused:

Where do you get your water? How often do you change your water and what % of the tank do you change? Does your skimmer skim effectively?

the other thing is that sometimes when you change your bulbs, they will be more intense than the old........can trigger algae blooms

Try a couple long spine urchins and a seahair or two. I added these critters to my tank and they had a serious problem under control within a week.
