Do not run the RO directly to the tank. Run it to a reservoir next to the tank or in the stand. If your RO were to not shut off you will flood the tank with freshwater. Bad. And flood your house. Also bad.

Hello there. The hammer is looking very good now. I have a green one as well and it does not like being moved. It took about 3 days to fully situate and inflate after both moves it had (to the QT, quarantine tank and finally to the DT, display tank). Keep in mind that a hammer coral is an LPS coral and will require regular dosing of certain elements to survive and thrive.
I ordered my testing kits on bulkreefsupply.com. Look into Red Sea test kits that contain an Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium test. I just recently ordered BRS's 2-part dosing kit to keep those levels in check. It is incredibly simple; they even have various videos explaining how to mix and dose the solutions and provide a calculator online to aid in determining dosing amounts based on tank water volume.
Don't ever hesitate to ask questions! Happy reefing!
Keep reading and researching. I spent months and stayed up late many nights consuming tons of information before I set up my tank. There is so much to learn, but it really pays off. I mean really pays off. I was able to avoid most of the issues new reefers deal with because I already understood what was going on in my system. I learned how to quickly react to things just by how my inhabitants look or something as simple as how fast algae was growing on my glass. I've yet to post an I.D. This? Thread, because I already knew what most of the hitchhikers were.
Ultimately you have made a commitment to the livelyhood of the creatures in the tank and the responsibility lays solely of your shoulders to insure that they live complete full lives with the goal of them dying of old age.
